Penny Lane came into rescue 5 years ago at the age of 3. She belonged to an elderly woman that had a car accident. Penny Lane’s mom will be going into assisted living and cannot take her so she was turned back over to us for re-homing.
Penny had her vaccinations but was otherwise not in very good shape. She is very chubby, her teeth were in very bad condition and she had 3 lumps in her mammary tract.
The pathology report on her tumors show a low grade malignancy. Their removal may be curative but the tumors may re occur.
CorgiAid supporters have helped Penny get on the path to health. She has had her teeth cleaned, and is now up-to-date on preventives and vaccinations. She has been spayed.
Penny has been designated a CorgiCare dog. Should her mammary tumors recur, CorgiAid can pay up to half of the expense of the medical care needed to deal with them.
CorgiCare is intended to help dogs with medical problems get adopted. CorgiCare helps adopters with specific expenses for the designated dogs.
Thank you, CorgiAid supporters, for making it possible to help Penny find a forever home.
This dog is available for adoption. Please contact Lindy Bezdek at rescue1@northtxwelshcorgis.org for more information.
