Here is Mable’s story in the words of her foster mom:
“Mable came from another resuer who couldn’t continue to foster her. She was told that the dog was 12 years old & had not been spayed. Her vet didn’t recommend spay for a 12 year old dog.
“I’ve been fostering Mable for about 10 days. She doesn’t look or act 12. I took her to my vet for a general exam. He confirmed my thought – this is a middle-aged dog, about 7 years. Accordingly, she should be spayed before placement. She also has a small benign tumor on her eyelid that needs to be removed. She also has never had her teeth cleaned. I would like to do the spay, tumor removal, teeth all at the same time.”
