Here is Madison’s story, as told by her rescuer:
“Madison was surrendered to our program when her owner’s needed to go to an assisted living situation due to their own declining health.
“She doesn’t like the young & active female Corgi in her foster home but she coexists nicely with male dogs and enjoys the company of people. Information
“Madison has a funny personality and we are thoroughly enjoying her silly self! Madison arrived grossly overweight. She has been on a “green bean” diet and is losing weight at a slow but steady rate.
“A tumor on her neck the size of quarter, and a mass the size of the palm of your hand found on her rib cage area on her left side – recommended that both be examined to rule out cancer. Cytology showed the mass on her rib cage to be adipose (fatty) tissue and was aspirated with a needle. Histopathology results on tumor removed from neck showed tumor to be benign, completely excised, and no further treatment needed and tumor should not return.”
