The Story of Georgie Sweetheart

Last Updated: October 06, 2006

Rescuer: Diane Myers at bdmyers@corgisncritters.org

Here is Georgie’s story, in the words of her rescuer:
“Georgie Sweetheart’s owner died and she and her Llasa Apso canine companion kept watch over his body for a few days before the authorities found them. He had no family to claim them so Georgie and her pal were sent to a local high kill animal shelter. The owner’s coworker decided to rescue them, but then realized Georgie made one dog too many in their household. Thankfully they contacted corgi rescue in Houston and she’s with Corgis & Critters now. Sadly, Georgie has those nasty heartworms. She also needs to be spayed, vaccinated, and is badly in need of a dental cleaning.
“In spite of the recent events in her life, Georgie is quite possibly the sweetest corgi we’ve had in our organization, and that’s saying a great deal. She melts the heart of anyone she meets. She has a heart shaped spot on the top of her head, and the sweetest worried look on her face. Every single tech at the vet’s office was in love in 5 minutes.”
CorgiAid supporters will help this lovely girl get healthy, so she can look for her forever home. Thank you!

This dog is not available for adoption.
