The Story of Maggie

Last Updated: December 20, 2006

Rescuer: Carol Lord Openhym at clopenhym@comcast.net

Here is Maggie’s story in the words of her rescuer:
“Maggie was found wandering in our neighborhood. We learned about her through a neighborhood email. We called the folks that found her and told them that if the owner was not found, that they should call us. Two days later we found that despite their calls to vets, animal control, etc. no owner has turned up. They suspect that she might have been dumped. We picked her up and took her to the vet yesterday to eliminate heartworm, get a fecal test, and so forth. All checked out ok except she has some wheezing in the R lung and a sore left rear knee. Last night, she had a submissive pee accident and there was considerable drops of blood around the urine. Her urine is cloudy. I took her today and she has a lower urinary tract infection. I have gotten her meds for the UTI as well as special perscription food. ”
CorgiAid supporters will help Maggie get shined up on her health care, so she can look forward to a happy life. Thank you!
