Trivette

Sadly, not every rescue story has a happy ending.
Trivette came to us from a “breeder”. He had a sweet temperment and silly clown attitude. The first night here he had a seizure. The next morning we went to the vet. The vet thought that the stress of being taken from a commecial facility into a home enviroment may have caused the seizure. We vaccinated and set an appointment for his neuter and teeth cleaning. Three days later he had a seizure. Two days after that he had two severe seizures in the middle of the night.I took him back to the vet the next morning. We did blood work and a fecal screen. The vet put Trivette on Phenobarb believing that he had epilepsy. He did well for over two weeks. Then he went in for his neuter and dental. We had a wonderful home waiting for him. A week later he went to his new home. Within a week he started having seizures although he was on Phenobarb and Valium. The family returned him. I took him for a second opinion. The second vet believed that he a a neurological problem. He continued to seizure having up to four a night. He lost his vision and could not find his way out of a crate or to the door. Both vets recommended that we euthanize him as he would only get worse. We loved him. As you can see in the photos he was a beautiful and happy boy.
