The Story of Heidi |

Here is Heidi’s story, in the words of her rescuer:
“Heidi was found wandering the streets of southern Missouri by a woman from Texas, who brought her home, had her spayed and vaccinated. However, the woman realized her job schedule and inadequate fencing equaled a wandering Heidi. She called rescue and we took her in.
“Cute as a bug, but carrying 36 pounds on a 26 pound frame. As a result, she limps a little, but the vet felt losing weight would have the biggest impact on fixing that problem. Heidi was clearly used as a breeder dog, but not given proper nutrition to support herself and the great number of puppies she brought into the world. She was missing several teeth when we picked her up, and required an extensive dental to extract 13 more and clean up what remained. While she will need soft food for a few more days, the vet is confident that she will be back on good quality kibble before long. While in foster care she’ll lose the weight and wait for her forever home.”
CorgiAid supporters will help Heidi get a clean and healthy mouth, so she can look for the loving forever home she deserves. Thank you!
