The Story of Petey |
Last Updated: September 12, 2007
Rescuer: Diane Myers at bdmyers@corgisncritters.org
Here is Petey’s story, in the words of his rescuer:
“I opened one of those mass emails I get daily from a desperate advocate trying to help the unfortunate animals in a very small town animal shelter. Petey, listed as a corgi mix, was on the roster of animals to be gassed this weekend. All we had was a picture and his execution date. We knew nothing about him, but one of our foster moms stepped up and offered to help, come what may. Petey needed to be neutered, relieved of his hooks, rounds and tapes, vaccinated, and, as is so often the case, he has heartworm and will need to go through treatment.
“Vet says Petey is a terrific candidate for the time and expense as he is young and otherwise healthy and a super sweet dog. Petey will make a great family pet.”
CorgiAid supporters will help Petey get up to speed on his health care. Thank you!
This dog is available for adoption. Please contact Diane Myers at bdmyers@corgisncritters.org for more information.
