The Story of Trixie (AKA Karn

Last Updated: September 06, 2007

Rescuer: Diane Hamelin at DiHamelinLLR@gmail.com

Trixie was rescued from the Shelby County Humane Society in AL. She and her sister, Maggie, were surrendered by their owner because they were moving. It was apparent that Trixie wasn’t feeling well upon arrival and was first seen by the vet the very next day.
Trixie was sick with a GI disturbance due to whipworms when she arrived at her foster home. She also had a bad ear infection. While being treated for the whips, she developed a bad URI. The antibiotics didn’t seem to be helping and she eventually had to have a sample drawn from her sinus to culture because she was getting worse and worse. Thankfully, the culture finally showed the doctor what was wrong and what bacteria he needed to treat and she was put on the appropriate meds to cure her.
CorgiAid supporters helped Trixie get well, so she could find the forever home she deserved. Thank you!

This dog is not available for adoption.
