The Story of Gracie

Last Updated: September 10, 2008

Rescuer: Meagan Francis at Shadeauxmd1@aol.com

Here is Gracie’s story in the words of her rescuer: “Gracie cam into rescue pregnant which we did not know about. Within a week of being in rescue she began to run a temp of 105 and we almost lost her. We rushed her to the vet immediately and had a c-section adn when we found out all the puppies were not viable we chose to do a spay at that same time. Gracie had come from a puppymill who chose not to tell us she was pregnant. Gracie had placentitis which caused all 7 of the puppies inside of her to grow to quickly soon poisoning her. We are sad we lost the puppies but are grateful our little Gracie lived. Gracie weighed 23lbs pregnant and we think will be 18lbs at a good healthy weight. We love our Gracie and think she will be an amazing gal for a family who can give her love and compassion.”
CorgiAid supporters will help with the expense for Gracie’s surgery. Thank you!

This dog is available for adoption. Please contact Meagan Francis at Shadeauxmd1@aol.com for more information.
