The Story of Dover

Last Updated: March 01, 2009

Here is Dover’s story, in the words of his rescuer:
“Dover was left tied to a fence post near a farm in rural Southern IL. The family took him in and called us.
“Dover is a beautiful boy! He has that foxey little face and his lovely tail which he carries proudly. He is ball crazy and will fetch for hours. He falls asleep in his foster mom’s arms just like a baby. He is a great boy.
“A few days after we got Dover, he began to have loose stool. Meds didn’t stop it. Then his fever went to 104.8 and he began bloody diarrhea. We were off the the ER. He recived fluids and IV antibiotics. His fever came down, then shot up to 105.The next morning we took him to our vet. More bloodwork, fluids, and antibiotoics. At this time he is much better. There is no diagnosis. If it happens again, he will be tested for several organ malfunctions.”
CorgiAid supporters will help with the cost of getting Dover fit and healthy. Thank you!
