Here is Marshmellow’s story, in the words of her rescuer: “Marshmellow was listed on Craigs List as needing a new home due to combining of families. When I contacted the owner they had already turned her into the Humane Society where I was able to pull her from. When I first saw her, I thought she possibly had a brain tumor, however she has muscle atrophy across her skull, making her face misshapen, with a very pronounced forehead and very small eyes, but she has the spirit and heart of a true corgi. She is very friendly, doesn’t seem to be bothered that she is in new surroundings, and although in pain because of her mouth and whatever is going on with her muscle disease, never tries to bite. She is lame at times, especially after prolonged activity. She is intact and needs to be spayed, planning on that at same time as dental and muscle biopsy.
“She loves all sizes of people, little to adult. She has little to no interest with other dogs, but if they get “rude” she will growl and show her teeth. It’s as though she is afraid they will hurt her.”
CorgiAid supporters will help Marshmellow get her mouth clean and healthy, and will help with diagnosing her muscle issue. Thank you!
