The Story of Prudence

Last Updated: August 19, 2009

Here is Patience and Prudence’s story, in the words of their rescuer:
“The puppies (there are two. See Prudence application.)were turned into a shelter in rural Missouri. My friend in the area pulled them for me. They were turned in due to “weak front legs”. However, the issue is severe hip hysplasia in both puppies.
“Both girls were frightened of us when we picked them up. Both were very nippy. Now they follow us everywhere, play with their toys, and play with one of the other fosters, a 3 year old male who has adopted them!
“Both of the girls have severe hip dysplasia. The surgery JPS is a chance for the girls to have a normal happy Corgi life. Please see http://www.medvet-cves.com/pdf/JPS_Review.pdf and an older article http://www.nwk9.com/jps.htm This surgery is commonly done performed now in the universities and speciality clinics. The girls are doing well and looking very cute in their new cone hats.”
CorgiAid supporters will help Patience and Prudence with their surgery, so they can look forward to healthy and happy lives. Thank you!
