The Story of Baxter

Last Updated: July 26, 2010

Here is Baxter’s story, in the words of his rescuer:
“Baxter is a very sweet boy raised by a very nice elderly couple who have since passed away. An acquaintance heard the family was going to have him euthanized, so she took him in. She kept him for a year, however, her newborn baby grew into a toddler and Baxter and the toddler were not seeing “eye to eye” so Baxter loses his home.
“Baxter earned his CGC and worked as a therapy dog for seniors prior to the passing of his first owners. He is very well mannered and just a lovable mellow boy.
“Baxter came to us with a cyst on his right eye lid, that was hindering his vision and very bad teeth.
“Baxter is one of the many ‘seniors’ that we have in or coming into our rescue this month. He is very sweet, loves his belly rubs and now that his teeth will no longer cause him pain, we are hoping he will re-gain his voracious appetite. He is, however, enjoying his canned food at the moment. ”
CorgiAid supporters will help Baxter get shined up on his health care, so he can lead the happy life he deserves. Thank you!
