The Story of Lucy |
Last Updated: December 30, 2010
Rescuer: Gloria Frick at labsgma@verizon.net
Here is Lucy’s story, in the words of her rescuer:
“Lucy fell off a 32 ft high rooftop deck–and survived. She was taken by her owners to an ER vet. Was paralyzed. Had numerous bruises and fractures of T8 and L7 vertebrae of her spinal cord. This occurred in March. She was sent home on various medications. Was never taken for followup care.
“Recently turned into rescue because of incontinence.
“She is able to walk and run–w/ a limp. Will potty outside but does not have complete control.”
Poor Lucy was only a puppy when she fell. She is about a year old, in September of 2010.
CorgiAid will help Lucy get some therapy that may help with her issues. Thank you!
UPDATE: end of December 2010 — Lucy is doing wonderfully in her adoptive home! She is using stairs like a pro! Hooray!
This dog is not available for adoption.
