The Story of Sgt. Stripe

Last Updated: December 07, 2010

Rescuer: B. Diane Myers at ccrescue@dogsweetdog.com

Here is Sargeant’s story, in the words of his rescuer:
“Sgt. Stripe is a victim of the poor economy in small town Oklahoma. Stating they could no longer afford to feed him, his owners turned him over to animal control (there is no shelter in this town) where he was automatically scheduled for euthanasia. Fortunately one of the ACOs took a shine to him and called a local all breed rescue, who then called me.
“He was shy at first but seems to be warming up quickly. The first few hours he walked around as if he was on a reconnaissance mission, so we liked the name Sargeant. Stripe is for the perfect sable stripe down his back. He’s a short sturdy little fellow, with bow legs. He came with too much baggage, so we’ll have the vet remove that, test him for all the usual suspects and clean his teeth.
“He is a sweet boy.”
CorgiAid supporters will help Sarge get shined up on his health care, so he can go forward and lead the happy life he deserves. Thank you! Sarge is in Oklahoma.

This dog is not available for adoption.
