The Story of Annie Oakley |
Last Updated: May 01, 2011
Here is Annie Oakley’s story, in the words of her rescuer:
“Annie Oakley was pulled from the shelter off the euth list for old age. Her skin was full of sores/scabs, her eyes were dull and her mouth was awful!! But her disposition was and is so appreciative.
“Annie or ‘Oakley’ as we call her, aside from a bit of old age ‘dementia’ loves her belly rubs, to romp and play a bit every day and to rub and roll in the grass. Since her teeth have been cleaned, her appetite has come back and her coat is shaping up nicely with treatment for allergies.
“Oakley deserves to live her life out healthy and happy. She has given so much already in the way of happiness to all of us. We believe she was taken to the shelter after her owner passed away, to be discarded. She is the sweetest little thing, plays well with others, loves attention.”
CorgiAid supporters are helping Oakley get healthy, so she can lead the happy retirement she deserves. Thank you!
Oakley is in Arizona.
