The Story of BP |
Last Updated: March 27, 2011
“BP came to us out of the shelter in August. He had been an only dog so took time to learn to live with the other dogs, he didn’t know how to play. Because he was so new to other dogs, we wanted a single dog home or one where the other dogs did not require a playmate. Here is BP’s story, in the words of his rescuer:
“He is what we called a “surfer dude”. BP would just hang and is so easy going.
“We placed BP on Feb 28th on a horse ranch (2.5 hours away) He seemed to be doing fine until the 10th when he collapsed. He was rushed to Terri’s vet and they did xrays and blood tests. Both his heart and liver were extremely enlarged. The vet put him on antibiotics and asked for crate rest. I will be picking him up to take to a specialist to determine the cause of the enlarged organs and the reason for the collapse. I am just waiting for the rain to stop and for him to be cleared to travel. He stresses in the car.”
CorgiAid supporters will help with the expense of taking care of BP in the emergency clinic, and with the tests he will need to diagnose his condition. Thank you!
BP is in California.
