Here is Holly’s story, in the words of her rescuer:
“Holly found herself in ‘corgi rescue’ with someone we hoped had gotten out of the business. After a month of doing nothing but bathing her in dandruff shampoo, that person asked a local cat rescue to take her. Holly’s toenails were curled into the pads of her feet, and a horrible skin condition had become infected and large oozing boils were popping up on her body. Her feet were so infected they were bleeding, one so painful she couldn’t put weight on it. The cat rescue had her for a week, and sent out a plea for help, which plea made corgi rescue sound horrible. I stepped in to save our reputation and to save this little dog. The vet believes one ear has been infected so long the drum has hardened and there may be permanent hearing loss. She has a very long road of recovery ahead of her. She’s precious. I hope we can save her.
“Even with what must be several very painful conditions, she is super sweet and puppy like. She has a very long road of recovery ahead of her.”
CorgiAid supporters will help Holly work on recovering from her extreme (abusive) neglect. Thank you!
