Sophie

Here is Sophie’s story, in the words of her rescuer:
“Sophie came to the Humane Society as an owner turn-in, but the owner gave little or conflicting information about this sweet girl. They didn’t even know if the dog was spayed or not. So that was a priority and getting her teeth checked.
“She is a pretty typical female corgi in that she will stand her ground. She does not just go after a dog, but if threatened, she will not back down. I feel she is VERY manageable however as she has spent the past 5 days with my 4 corgis.
“Sophie is a little insecure given the dramatic change she has been through. She is also nervous in new situations but wants to be with someone so badly. She will be a great companion for someone once she knows she can settle.
“Sophie has a orthopedic issue with her right “elbow.” It appears to be a growth issue and so there are charges for x-rays. They don’t believe surgery is a good option so we are treating her with anti-inflamatory and pain medicine in hopes of calming it down to make it more manageable.”
It turned out that Sophie did need to be spayed, so that was done, her teeth were cleaned, and her elbow evaluated.
