The Story of Fergie

Last Updated: December 09, 2012

Rescuer: Walton Salley at salleyw@bellsouth.net

Here is Fergie’s story, in the words of her rescuer:
“Sweet Fergie was an owner surrender at a shelter in upstate SC. Sadly due to her age/previous medical history, she was not a candidate for adoption and only available to rescue. I have always had a soft spot for seniors who have served their owners all their lives and then turned over to shelter. Normally Chances are slim and none that they are adopted/rescued.”
Fergie was lucky! A foster home was found!
“Fergie has settled beautifully into her foster home with Ladybug an 11 yr old corgi and a 7 yr old cattle dog mix. Sweet Ladybug she has showered Fergie with affection and wants to be her new best friend. Fergie had her initial exam and for an 11 yr old, looks very good. She has bursts of energy, then nap time. Loves sleeping with Foster Mom Pam and many thanks to Corgi Aid for the help that you provide Seniors.”
CorgiAid supporters will help Fergie get shined up on her health care, so she can be healthy and comfortable as she looks forward to a happy retirement. Thank you!
Fergie was rescued in South Carolina.

This dog is available for adoption. Please contact Walton Salley at salleyw@bellsouth.net for more information.
