Here is Henry’s story, in the words of his rescuer:
“Henry was an owner surrender at a shelter near Houston. He had some atrophy in one rear leg. We thought that it may have just been an old injury but it turned out to be Legge-Perthe disease. The blood flow had been cut off to the ball in his hip joint.
“Henry is a very happy playful boy and is good with other playful dogs. He can be a bit much at first, but he calms down well and plays well with others.
“He is running and playing since his surgery, While he will never be 100%, he is at 99%.”
Henry’s vets determined that he would be much more comfortable with a femoral head osteotomy.
CorgiAid supporters have helped Henry get the surgery he needs, so he can go forward and lead a happy life. Thank you!
Henry was rescued in Texas.
