Here is Jacob’s story, in the words of his rescuer:
“Jacob was pulled from the shelter on 09/18/12. Another rescue had alerted me to him and we picked him up the following day. When I picked him up he was limping on his rear leg, so I expected to hear that he had been hit by a car or had torn his ACL. When I tried to brush him out a bit that night, I also noticed his ear was sensitive, so further expected injury while running at large.
“He is a talker. While he would rather be under my feet all day, he will go into his crate with little resistance. He is also good with children around the age of 10-12 yrs. Shows no hostility with the other dogs in rescue
“When he was x-rayed his hip was found to be dislocated and apparently had been that way for quite awhile, as it was down to bone on bone. The vet recommended an FMO But he is heartworm NEG!!!!!!!”
CorgiAid supporters will help Jacob with the expense of clean teeth and the femoral head osteotomy his vet felt would be best for him. Thank you!
He is working at getting back up on all four feet, so he can move forward and lead the happy life he deserves.
Jacob was rescued in Texas.
