The Story of Patty

Last Updated: May 16, 2012

Rescuer: Leslie Reed at reedleslie@bellsouth.net

Here is Patty’s story, in the words of her rescuer.
“Patty and her nine puppies were an owner-surrender to a south Louisiana shelter when her puppies were 3 weeks old. A local rescue found a foster until recently when they thought she and the puppies had a better chance of finding homes through a breed rescue. Through the mighty ‘corgi nation’, Patty and her now 7 week old puppies made it to me in northern Alabama where they will be fostered until they are old enough to place. They all have hook- and round worms for which they are being treated. Unfortunately, Patty is positive for heartworms. She has begun her treatment today. All nine puppies and Patty will be available for adoption once their medical needs have been taken care of. Patty is quiet, sweet, and submissive, has no problem with people or any of my dogs, lets everyone inspect her puppies. She will be someone’s wonderful pet if she can beat the nasty heartworms. The puppies are a fabulous bundle of silliness and as we get to know them, they are each showing off their individual personalities. They are all very loving and love people. True to their corgi heritage, they are all great eaters and happy, happy, happy!”
CorgiAid supporters will help Patty and her family get ready to go forward and lead the happy lives they deserve. Thank you!
Patty and her clan were fostered in Alabama.

This dog is available for adoption. Please contact Leslie Reed at reedleslie@bellsouth.net for more information.
