Here is Dixie’s story, in the words of her rescuer:
“Dixie and her daughter Mollie spent vacation a summer rental home with their family. Then when their family decided to back home, they left Dixie and Mollie behind. The other summer lake residents fed them and kept an eye on them, but when it came time for the summer people to go home, one of them called rescue to take them. Both are very sweet dogs, flea infested, UTI and intestinal worms, but otherwise healthy.”
