Hope

Here is Hope’s story, in the words of her rescuer:
“We were contacted by a high kill shelter in GA. They had this corgi and were going to euthanize her as she was crippled. We decided to see if we could determine the cause of her disability, see if she could be helped, and try to see if we could place her as a special needs dog.
“Hope gets around okay and is housetrained. However, she walks on her wrists. We got her a baby carriage so she could be taken out for walks and outings.
“Many rescuers would have turned their heads and allowed this girl to be put to sleep. We took vet work one step at a time; had an orthopedic consult before she came to us and surgeon felt that she could be a special needs girl with settled family/older person. Hope is a happy girl…she goes out the doggy door to backyard to do her business…then she rolls on her back and kicks her little deformed legs for joy. She is adored by her foster Dad and her favorite pastime is NFL football on Sunday on his lap.”
