Here is Jack’s story, in the words of his rescuer:
“Jack had been making the rounds in the neighborhood of a friendly citizen who fed him whenever he came round. She did not know who he belonged to, but sometimes he’d stop in and play with her dogs, before disappearing for days. One evening she came home to find him laying in the driveway. He had apparently been hit by a car and dragged himself to her house for help. She took him to the vet and quickly realized she could not afford the care he was going to need… full hip replacement surgery. Add insult to injury, he is heartworm positive. She called us and we agreed to take him and get him the care he needs.”
The good news is that Jack does not need hip replacement after all! We are glad he doesn’t need to go through that surgery and rehab!
CorgiAid supporters are helping Jack get the medical care he needs, including heartworm treatment, so he can go forward and lead the happy life he deserves. Thank you!
Jack was rescued in Oklahoma.
