Here is Lilith’s story, in the words of her rescuer:
“Lilith was dumped at the shelter by her elderly owner’s children when the owner had to go into an assisted living facility. Sadly, they didn’t even know her name when they left her there. She has sores from flea allergies and some other dermatitis. Her eyes are infected and have green goop, she has a hernia that needs to be repaired, and she needs a dental. She has cataracts and it is obvious that she has vision problems. She is sensitive to noises and a bit scared, but she absolutely loves to go for walks and is a happy girl. We adore her – she is sweetest girl ever!
“She was left at the shelter with clumps of hair falling off her. She’s an absolute angel that becomes less fearful everyday. We think some of her fear issues are because she can’t see well. She is overweight, but not as terribly as some that have come through. She loves to run and roll in the grass. She loves to have attention and be talked to.
“Update: 6.26.14 She had lots of fleas on her when she left the shelter, and very red and inflamed skin. She also has an eye infection, needs a hernia repair, and a dental. She has cataracts. The vet diagnosed her with a mild cataract in the right eye and a mature cataract in the left eye. It is obvious to us that she has vision problems. We are giving her some time to recover from the dermatitis and will then do blood work and have the hernia repaired.”
CorgiAid supporters are helping Lilith get the medical care she needs, so she can go forward and live a happy life. She now has a clean and healthy mouth, and her hernia was repaired. She feels much better now!
She has an appointment for a consultation with a veterinary ophthalmologist for an evaluation for possible cataract removal.
