Here is Nell’s story, in the words of her rescuer:
“Nell came to us from a puppy mill. Poor thing is scared of her own shadow, but is coming around. She was spayed at one of our local low cost spay neuter clinics, which we have used in the past. Everything seem to go OK until Nell started bleeding out about a week after her spay. An emergency trip to our veterinary surgeon revealed that Nell had had a serious allergic reaction to the substandard suture material used by the clinic. It caused a tremendous inflammatory event and a week after the spay her bladder fused to the inner wall. 3 hours of surgery later, she is thankfully OK and no permanent damage was done. We will not be using that clinic ever again.
“After 4 years producing puppies in a cage, Nell is slowly learning about toys and other dogs and people, but for now she really relies on dogs to help her find her way.”
CorgiAid supporters have helped Nell get the surgery she needed, so she can go forward with learning how to be a beloved pet. Thank you!
Nell was rescued in Oklahoma.
