Safford

Here is Safford’s story, in the words of his rescuer:
“Safford was surrendered by his owners due to he was not getting along with the new puppy, a Boxer, in the house. He was fine with the older dog, but with 4 children, one special needs child they wanted the puppy to be a service dog for, they were afraid a fight would escalate around the child. He came to us with a bad mouth, (his 4 canines had already been extracted, prior to him coming to us?) but he did have a bad molar and lots of tartar buildup.
“He is a love towards people, always wanting attention and belly rubs, no aggression at all with people.
“I believe his not getting along with the puppy was a lot of the home environment. They allowed the puppy to get in his space and face and never leave him alone. The 4 children in the house kept him busy also, and then they separated him and their other older dog, leaving the puppy to have the run of the house. We will place him in an only dog home, for his own safety.”
