Here is Batman’s story, in the words of his rescuer:
“My rescue saw Batman posted as “free” on San Diego, CA Craig’s List. I emailed the poster but he wasn’t responsive to rescue. I asked one of my approved foster colleagues to contact him and he did relinquish the dog to her. It was one day before he was moving to Ventura, CA The dog probably would have wound up at the local animal Shelter. His wife had died and he had sold the house. The dog had been used as a stud dog and wasn’t neutered at 12+ years of age.
“Batman, although used as a stud dog and not yet neutered, is very congenial and friendly with the foster home’s other two corgis and other than not being housetrained (in progress) is very good with dogs and people.
“He was full of fleas and foster mom took him to Petsmart where they had to give him two flea baths.
“Batman needs neuter, blood work, urinalysis, DHP-PV and bordetella vaccinations. Dog was current on rabies. Fecal exam due to heavy flea infestation. Dental exam showed the dog had gingivitis and dental tartar so will need a dental cleaning and possible extractions.”
CorgiAid supporters have helped Batman get the medical care he needed, including a clean and healthy mouth, so he could get ready for the next happy chapter of his life. Thank you!
Batman was rescued in California.
