The Story of Butter

Last Updated: April 07, 2017

Rescuer: Peggy McClard at pmcclard@comcast.net

Here is Butter’s story, in the words of her rescuer:

“Butter was picked up on a highway. The finder traced her back to the owner who said she had opened the gate and hoped ‘she’d get lost’ because they didn’t want her anymore. She had 2 infected teeth that have been removed by our vet, a cyst on the inside of her eyelid that was removed at the same time and she has a left ruptured anterior cruciate ligament that causes her a lot of pain and inhibits her ability to walk, run and step up an even small step. She was grossly overweight when we got her and she has dropped 4 pounds under our care. She needs to lose a bit more before surgery can be performed on her left hind knee. She’s a happy dog who loves people, children and other dogs.”

Butter was rescued in Texas.

CorgiAid supporters have helped Butter get a clean and healthy mouth, and get rid of the cyst inside her eyelid. Thank you! She is working on losing weight and feeling as good as she can, so she can enjoy the happy retirement she deserves.

This dog is available for adoption. Please contact Peggy McClard at pmcclard@comcast.net for more information.
