The Story of Jinx

Last Updated: March 28, 2018

Here is Jinx’s story, in the words of his rescuer:

“We had just left he vet’s office with another dog when a call came in about a corgi that had been found, but the finders couldn’t keep the dog while we searched for an owner. Of course we couldn’t leave him there, so he went home with us. The first thing we noticed that his head was misshapen and the smell coming from his mouth was the nastiest our noses had met. We could only imagine how much his mouth hurt. After only a day his owner was found. After visiting with his owner about his muscle loss, his nasty mouth, and need for immediate veterinary care, he was surrendered to rescue with the promise that we would take good care of him and find him a great home. A promise we could easily make.”

“He is as sweet as can be.”

Jinx came into rescue with a raft of symptoms. Most of them have tested “negative” for the bad things they might have been, but he still has some quirky issues. His rescuer thinks he’s one of the best dogs ever.

CorgiAid supporters are helping Jinx with his problems, including tests and meds and a clean and healthy mouth. Thank you! It turned out his lameness was due to ligament damage, so he has also had a ligament repair.

Jinx was rescued in Texas.
