The Story of Lucy |

Here is Lucy’s story, in the words of her rescuer:
“Lucy came into rescue from a puppy mill breeder. We were contacted by an intermediary individual who assists in rehoming retired breeding dogs.
“Lucy is a very shy, sweet corgi with down ears.
“On 1/17/17 Lucy was brought into rescue. She received her needed vaccines, was bathed, tested for heartworms, had a blood panel performed to assess overall health, and had an intestinal parasite screening.
“On 01/18/17 Lucy had a dental, nail trim, and was spayed. An antibiotic and a pain medication were prescribed. A single dose of heartworm preventative was dispensed.”
CorgiAid supporters have helped Lucy get the medical care she needs, so she can work on learning how to be a pet. Thank you!
Look at that sweet smile — Lucy says the cone isn’t about shame. It is a mark of survival, and of moving forward into a life where a dog is loved and properly cared for.
Lucy was rescued in South Carolina.
