The Story of Sarah |
Last Updated: June 20, 2017
As much as we wish every rescue story could have a happy ending, reality is just not that kind or gentle.
Tissue alert.
Here is Sarah’s story, in the words of her rescuer:
“Sarah was found by the member of another all breed rescue, dragging a very large hernia, and carrying mammary tumors. We were approached to help since her needs were going to be costly. She was examined by our vet and it was determined she should be referred to a surgeon to fix the hernia and remove the tumors. The tumors were removed and the hernia repaired, but even 3 days later she was still very painful and swollen, to the point she could not be managed. With a follow up visit to the vet, it was determined her spondylosis was advanced and she was in severe pain. We wish we had known this prior to the surgery. Our vet advised us that the most humane, responsible thing to do would be to send her to the bridge. Tearfully we did just that. It’s never easy.”
CorgiAid supporters helped Sarah, including helping her move on to a place where she is no longer suffering. Thank you.
