The Story of April Sue |
Last Updated: October 09, 2018
Here is April Sue’s story, in the words of her rescuer:
“April Sue was adopted. In a little over two years, April Sue went from 30 pounds to 55 pounds, and was diagnosed with diabetes. Her owner then returned her to the adoption center claiming she could not afford the insulin, nor could she bring herself to give the shots April Sue now needed after two years of being overfed with the wrong kind of food, causing her pancreas to fail. April Sue is a sweet corgi mix girl, only 4 years old, with a great personality and lots of love and life. We are hopeful that a good diet and exercise plan will reverse her insulin dependency.”
CorgiAid supporters helped April Sue get up to speed on her health care, as she works on getting to a healthy weight. Thank you!
