The Story of Derby

Last Updated: October 09, 2018

Here is Derby’s story, in the words of his rescuer:

“Derby came into rescue with his litter mate Banks. Derby appeared extremely gaunt, with malformed ears, extensive fur loss near his nub, numerous growths, and a lot of fleas. Their owner was no longer able to care for them. The dogs had been together their whole life, and are bonded. We call them the southern brothers.

“Derby seeks attention from everone he meets.

“Derby’s masses were found to be benign. He continues to need treatment for his ears, which are malformed. The veterinarians felt he had a long standing, chronic ear infection prior to coming into rescue.”

CorgiAid supporters have helped Derby as he works on being as healthy as possible. He has had the dental work he badly needed, and his various lumps and bumps have been checked (and removed, in many cases). Thank you!

Derby and Banks were rescued in the Carolinas.

Derby is on the left in the pic.
