Tootsie

Tootsie was found as a stray just before Christmas. No owner came forward after a thorough search by the person who found her. The lady that found her contacted rescue to ask if they would accept Tootsie into our program. Tootsie is sweet and great with everyone she meets so they said yes. Tootsie was taken for an exam from the veterinarian and she was heart worm infected and quite overweight. She was put on a weight loss program and started her on a fast kill heart worm treatment. She needed some dental care, as well as the usual preventative treatments. Tootsie has lost 6 lbs and is well on her way to her ideal weight of 35 lbs.
