The Story of Millie (formerly Meili) |
Last update 05/25/2024
Millie’s background was one of the most complicated that her rescue had ever seen. She was bred and shown in conformation in China and then came to the US with her handler. She then was sold to another breeder who lives in Australia, who wanted her to introduce new bloodlines into her breeding program. The breeder thought that it wouldn’t be too difficult to get Millie from the US to Australia, however, this proved not to be the case. Millie was boarded in California while waiting on the plans to be completed to get her to Australia. Because of the difficulty of making it happen, because she had been boarded for so long, and because she approaching 7 years of age, the breeder in Australia who owned her asked the Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of Southern California’s (PWCCSC) rescue wing to finder her a home in the US. Millie is a sweetheart and deserves to live her life out being loved and in a home.
Millie needed everything except a microchip, when rescue got her; spay, vaccinations, labs, fecal, etc. After coming into foster care and after her spay, it was determined she also had a UTI and major digestive tract issues. Millie was adopted by experienced former rescue adopters of the PWCCSC and will be well cared for and loved for the rest of her life.
