Scully

Posted on October 10, 2008February 18, 2023 By admin

Scully came to us as a rescue when she was 8 years old. She had suffered a hard life of abuse and neglect. She passed away at the age of 12. In the 4 short years that she blessed our lives, she taught us so many things about life. She taught us to forgive and to trust with our hearts. She could have held her terrible past against all people, but she didn’t. She taught us that when things are bad and scary to lean on those who love us the most. Scully was terrified of thunderstorms but could always be comforted by crawling into the nearest lap and hinding until it was all over. She also taught us not to take life too seriously, to not be afraid to laugh at yourself, and to take the time to dance every once and a while. Scully loved to play pat-a-cake for her tummy rubs and would sing and dance with us throughout the house.
Most of all, Scully taught us to love. To love those close to us with all of our hearts and souls while we still have them. You could see the love in her eyes everytime you came home. And that’s all she really ever asked for in return, to be loved.
We know now that Scully was a made to order gift from God.

To our dearest Scully: We hope that in the short time that you were a part of our family that we gave you the life and love that you deserved. If our love could have saved you, you would have lived forever. We will be looking for you to be leading the choir at the bridge when we will finally see you again. You adopted us as much as we adopted you.

You will always be in our hearts and in our memories.
Thank you for blessing our lives.
