The Story of Gus

Last Updated: June 07, 2013

Here is Gus’s story, in the words of his rescuer:
“Gus was found wandering in a small town. No one claimed him and the local vet had no record for him. A couple took him into their home and called us.He had obviously been wandering for some time: Limping in hind quarters, would let no one touch his neck or back, very fearful, and on the second day that we had him, he had a grand mal seizure. He could not eat due to abscessed teeth.
“It took a couple of months and lots of medical and kindness to finally get a smile from Gus. Being pain free makes a big difference! He is now friendly, but still takes awhile to warm up to strangers. He will run under the bed at loud noises, but does continue to make progress. He is devoted to his foster mom who gave him special attention. He has learned to walk on lead, with encouragement, and he thinks that he is hot stuff! 🙂 ”
CorgiAid supporters have helped Gus get the medical care he needs to be able to go forward and lead a happy life. Thank you!
Gus was rescued in Missouri.
