The Story of Forrest

Last Updated: March 22, 2012

Here is Forrest’s story, in the words of his rescuer:
“Forrest lived up in the Grand Canyon with owners who did not spend time with him nor kept him safe. He was always running after the campers/hikers, following them down the trails into the Canyon. He learned to dodge the coyotes and javelina, and adapt to the very cold winters and snow. Neighbors felt sorry for him, feeding him their leftovers, pork chops, chicken, whatever they had. The Park Rangers, having had Forrest in ‘jail’ on numerous occasions, finally told the owner to relinquish the dog or go to court (again-they have a history of this, lose a dog, get another, relinquish) National Park Service contacted me to see if we could help Forrest, instead of them taking him to the high kill shelter in Northern AZ.
“Forrest is the ‘poster child’ for the impish, fun loving, happy, let’s play Corgi boy!! He is always happy, wants to play, play, play.”
CorgiAid supporters will help Forrest get caught up with his health care, so he can go forward and live the happy life he deserves, with people who will cherish him and take good care of him! Thank you.
Forrest was rescued in Arizona.
