The Story of Britta

Last Updated: April 17, 2012

CorgiAid’s primary goal is to help homeless corgis (and corgi mixes) get healthy, so they can go forward and find permanent loving families.
Sometimes, when a dog has very recently been adopted, CorgiAid is able to help with the expense of dealing with an issue that clearly existed when the dog was adopted.
Britta was fine in rescue, but felt sicker and sicker the day she went to her new family. When she got home, she was vomiting, had bloody diarrhea, and was lethargic.
Her family whisked her to the vet, who determined that it was probably a reaction to her heartworm meds, taken the day before her trip home.
CorgiAid supporters have helped with the expense of getting Britta diagnosed, and helping her digestive tract settle down, so she can go forward and lead a happy life. Thank you!
