The Story of Gracie

Last Updated: May 28, 2010

Gracie’s story, in the words of her rescuer:
“Gracie was at the shelter with a very badly hurt leg. This is a rural shelter for strays only, and has no veterinarian associated with it. Gracie was listed on Petfinder and that’s how she was found and posted to Corgi Rescue. I found out later that her leg had been broken for 2-3 weeks. She hadn’t been spayed, nor had any kind of care at all, and yet was so sweet with everyone — she wags her tail and licks your face if she’s within reach!
“Gracie is short and shaggy, with corgi markings and ‘make up.’ She has a lovely and expressive tail, travels well, and is beautiful even in a shelter, as you can see from her picture.
“Gracie was probably hit by a car, and her leg was so badly damaged that amputation was the vet’s recommendation, and I agreed.”
CorgiAid supporters will help Gracie, so she can go forward and lead the happy life she deserves. Thank you!
