The Story of Heidi

Last Updated: September 29, 2003

Heidi was pulled from Last Chance Animal Shelter in Little Rock Arkansas 8-1-03. A local rescue had pulled her, but when they found out she was HW+ they sent her back. It was a very close call to get her out, they had even prepped her for euthanasia by shaving a patch on her neck. She is sweet, docile, and housetrained. Heartworm test and treatment have already begun. She has 2 floppy (no bone connection) rear dew claws that have probably never been trimmed and the toenail has grown full circle and starting into the flesh. The blood line is close to the end. She also needs to be spayed and brought up to date on shots.
We have a special place in our hearts for girls named Heidi. 🙂
I’m sure our original Heidi (her pic is our logo) would approve of CorgiAid support for this Heidi, too. CorgiAid *never* sends someone back to the shelter because they have heartworm!
Thanks to CorgiAid supporters, Heidi will soon feel much better and will be able to start looking for her forever home!

UPDATE: September 29. Heidi went to her new home last Saturday. She now has her own 10 year old boy, her own mom, her own house and her own fenced yard. She even got to go to Petco Saturday evening!
Thank you, CorgiAid supporters, for helping Heidi feel good so she could find her new family!
