The Story of Peanut 2025

Last update 03/31/2025

Rescue was contacted by Peanut’s previous owner, who had ended up with Peanut after a breakup with her boyfriend. She had an older cattle dog (and had the dog since it was a puppy) that didn’t do well with an energetic Corgi bouncing off of her. There were a few scuffles and the owner was afraid the situation would escalate. She had also moved into a home where there was no fence, which didn’t help the dogs. Peanut was surrendered to rescue to be rehomed.  She needed vaccine boosters, to be spayed, and her flea/tick prevention, and heartworm prevention. She was adopted by a couple who had lost their Corgi to degenerative myelopathy and who had adopted a Corgi from the rescue years before.
