Nye 2006-2017
It is with a heavy heart that I inform you my little man Nye has passed. He was the best first pet I could have ever asked for. Having been through a lot with me, seeing me at my lowest sometimes, Nye never stopped loving me and was always by my side. I remember when he was a puppy, he would nap with me, but as he grew he just wanted to play. He liked the floor more than our laps. When he was younger he didn’t mind my taking pictures of him, but as he grew (and I’m not sure why) he stopped and would always try to run away from the camera; it was cute. Sometimes a stubborn corgi, Nye was very smart and knew how to get what he wanted. As he aged, he became a grumpier old man, but all he cared for was love and attention; he always meant well. I was never prepared for DM, I had no idea what was in store for us. I have many regrets, memories I wish I would”ve captured, time I wish I would have spent more with him. But I know at the end of the day, Nye always loved me. As his condition progressed and worsened quickly over the last 6 months, we were going to put him down soon. An unfortunate house fire took him first, along with his pal and my little princess Mocha. I miss him, his fluffy butt, his soft ears, his sweet eyes, the way he set his head in my hand, how gentle he was – so many things. I miss both of them terribly. I pray the rainbow bridge has everything they want, that they can be patient for me until we are reunited. Hug your babies, lavish them with your love. You never know when you won’ t be able to again.
