The Story of Sparkles

Last Updated: October 09, 2018

Rescuer: B. Diane Myers at ccrescue@dogsweetdog.com

Here is Sparkles’ story, in the words of her rescuer:

“Can you imagine dumping your faithful dog of 7 years at the shelter because you want to go on a three week long vacation and don’t want to pay someone to care for her? Oh and also for 7 years you didn’t provide her with heartworm protection so now she’s a 7 year old owner surrender in a city shelter with a health issue. That’s what happened to Sparkles. Pretty much a death sentence for most dogs in her situation, but we couldn’t stand for that, could we?”

No, we couldn’t!

CorgiAid supporters have helped Sparkles get the health care she needed, including getting rid of those nasty heartworms. Thank you!
