The Story of Jasper

Last Updated: June 02, 2012

Rescuer: Jeanette DeMars at jdemars1@cox.net

Here is Jasper’s story, in the words of his rescuer:
“Jasper was found as a stray in a rural area of NE Arkansas. Because he tested positive for heartworms his fate was almost certain euthanasia at the shelter he was being kept. A local rescuer was able to work with the shelter and pulled him then arranged transport to Kansas.
“While only a year old, Jasper all ready tested positive for heartworms and had a case of hookworms. Two tests showed light infestation but radiographs show no heart damage.
“The veterinary said because Jasper’s heartworm infestation was ‘light’ she recommended the slow kill method. So Jasper has been given his first HW prevent pill and will continue to have them. He is expected to make a full recovery as long as preventative is given.”
CorgiAid supporters will help Jasper with the cost of his diagnosis and treatment for heartworm. Thank you!
Jasper is recovering from his heartworm infestation in Kansas.

This dog is not available for adoption.
