The Story of Riley

Last Updated: August 12, 2003

Riley came to rescue HW neg and up to date on shots but with all dogs here I always get a check up he also had what we thought was a hot spot which turned out to be a severe reaction to fire ant bites that he received at his former owners home, which has gotten infected and is really nasty and open wound. We also since he is drinking water and not peeing much are having a full blood work up to make sure he does not have diabities or any other problems with liver and such. He has a severe allergic reaction to multi(over 60) fire ant bites in his left hind inner leg and scrodum. He is on a massive dose of predesone for the next week, Cephrlexen( anti-biotic) and hot spot solution that is prescription to dry and clean the open sores and such.
Update from 8-12-03 — Riley’s bloodwork came back — he is all healthy, aside from the bites. He is feeling MUCH better.
Thank you, CorgiAid supporters, for helping Riley recover from those nasty bites!
